In combat limbs will fall off and there will be blood where the limbs are detached. Violence: The games graphics look rather dated which makes what with current day graphics may be disturbing gore rather tame. The rest of this review is based on what Id say is about average for what you would encounter. In my opinion this is the games biggest strength however in terms of content it also means that it will vary based on what choices you make. Be who you want to be and do what you want to do.
The Fallout series as a whole are games that are very centred around choice. I have had this game for about a year now and have played through it 3 times. Overall, Fallout New Vegas is a must play, but not for kids.
There is no actual nudity in the game but hookers and prostitutes wear tight clothing showing cleavage. They go to a bed, and the screen fades to black and you wake up. The player (if they chose) can have sex with prostitutes for caps but there is no nudity shown at all. With sexual references, prostitution is a frequently referenced and you can even go into the strip club / casino gamorrah. With profanity, when you speak to certain characters, they will act quite aggressively towards you like saying “who the f*ck are you supposed to be?” There is also computer logs which contain profanity and in the streets of the new Vegas strip, certain characters say the b word and sh*t. There is also suicide, arranged murder, and in one of the factions, crucifixion. Body parts can be blown off with blood covering the surroundings. With the violence, it is extremely gory and bloody with both gun combat and melee. Violence, cursing, and sexual references. On your journey for revenge it is an extremely dark, mature adventure which is a must play for older gamers. Right now your probably think that this game doesn’t sound inappropriate but you’d be wrong. Fallout New Vegas is about roaming the Mojave wasteland in search of the gangster who killed you before the game kicks off.
